Supporting Students Education Dreams

I am a deep believer in giving back. Through the Epale Family Memorial Award, I would like to Pay it Forward

You can help make a difference for an international student pursuing a lifelong dream. Attaining a quality education overseas is often out of reach for many young people primarily due to financial constraints.
Acceptance into a university or college of choice is just the first step; having the means to sustain your stay for the duration of your studies is another kettle of fish altogether. It can often be the biggest challenge. This is why I need you to join me in supporting students’ dreams.

A proud alumnus of the University College of Cape Breton (UCCB) (now called Cape Breton University – CBU) in Nova Scotia, I started my education as an international student of African-Caribbean heritage, in 1993. I was both humbled and honored to have received an award supporting my dream to attain a quality education. A bursary in the amount of $250 was inspirational but also practical as a means of support. The funds came from a donor I had never met but believed in supporting students’ dreams. You can help make young dreams a reality.

The first award will be presented in 2022, marking 25 years since I graduated from UCCB (CBU) with a Bachelor of Arts degree before furthering my education. You too, can join me and other supporters who are committed to making a difference in the life of an international student from Africa or Caribbean studying at CBU by contributing to this annual award.
Will you give today?
